The same four walls I see each day
Of visits I have none

Until my days are done

To see one of God’s creatures
So soft your fur of white
To feel your warm breath touch me
Makes a dreary day seem bright

No words need to be spoken
As you gaze upon my face
You have an understanding
Of us castoffs in this place
