I know they are sent to be used in some way

What the reason is I do hope you will say

I want to make sure they are not said in vain

Sometimes I know that they cause people pain

But it is a pain that is meant to teach good

For the plights of the animals so misunderstood

I think they are sent so that people realize

Each life is precious enough to save in Your eyes

That each one was sent to live on this Earth

And became living souls from the moment of birth

So many live without a thought from mankind

This may be a means for which to remind

That they feel all the same things that we do

And it’s just so unfair all the pain some live through

So please keep sending me this teaching tool

If it can help to stop people from being so cruel

To all the creatures who are put into our care
