Time spent alone with my pets by my side

Allows me to feel I have nothing to hide

They accept me and love me regardless of looks

They’ll just lie by my side as I read of my books

 

They know every mood, how I feel every day

There is no need for words, there is nothing to say

I don’t have to explain every thing that I do

If I need extra loving, they always come through

 

So why would I choose not to spend time with them

And why do some people feel the need to condemn

That I’d rather be with dogs than spend time in a group

To be really quite blunt, I just don’t give a poop
