| A not so
happy Park Story.. This story is
being told from Sid's point of view: |

Hi
everybody, Sid Vicious here to tell you that I love being a Chow
Ambassador. I get to meet and greet people and dogs of all shapes and
sizes. A few weeks ago I was in the park, all by myself, when a man
walked up to the fence with this little frail looking dog. My Momma
asked "Is that a Whippet?".. The Dad said "Yes, his name is MoJo.".. My
Momma asked them to come in and promised that I would not attack MoJo
but if MoJo ran I would chase him.
The Dad brought
MoJo into the park. We had so much fun! Those Whippets can run FAST and
I could not keep up with him but I had fun trying! The Dad was happy
that MoJo got to run and that I was such a good Chow Chow.
OK.. so.. a few
weeks later MoJo and his brother Sammy come into the park to play. That
day there was a LOT of other dogs, big ones, small ones, loud ones and
quiet ones.. Of COURSE none as quiet as me though, I'm shy. Sammy, a 2
year old Whippet, was really scared and hid behind his Momma. I started
walking up to him very calmly and coaxed Sammy to come out. I really
like Sammy and MoJo. Well, now the story turns dark.
Yesterday, at the
park, there was about 10 dogs in the park. Sammy and MoJo show up. I was
so excited to see them! Well, MoJo, who is only 8 months old, started to
play with the rougher crowd (not me, I hate that) and they all started
running around like a pack of wild "dogs"..
WELL.. about
four of them collide into MoJo, the smack was so loud that everyone
turned around to look! I was standing next to my Momma like I always do
when they get that rough. MoJo let's out this horrifying yelp of pain!
The Dad scooped up MoJo and started walking out the park. I was so
worried for MoJo that I walked next to them all the way to the gate.
While we were standing at
the
gate another dog started to walk up to us. I turned around, looked at
the dog, gave him my meanest look and barked, real loud and real deep!
Another lady in the park was amazed and told my Momma that my behavior
was totally out of character and my Momma
agreed. I was just so freighted and worried for MoJo!! Today we see the
Momma and Sammy. MoJo broke his leg!
He had to have
surgery and get pins in his bones. I don't understand all that stuff but
I could tell my Momma was way upset. I don't think I'll be playing with
MoJo and Sammy any time soon which is too bad. The next time my Momma
sees Sammy she's going to ask if we can just walk with them because
Sammy needs to be more confident and it will make me happy to see Sammy.
I hope MoJo gets better fast, poor little guy.
